Development of recommendations for practical ventilation concepts and development of a CO2 calculation tool
Project of the research programme "Future Building"
During the further development of the Sustainable Building Assessment System (BNB) and the BNB criteria profile "Indoor Air Hygiene", a gap was identified in the aspect of "carbon dioxide content" in practice-oriented planning instruments and assessment bases for rooms that are partially or exclusively ventilated via windows. This applies in particular to rooms with large numbers of people, such as classrooms and conference rooms. In the present research project, experimental studies on functioning ventilation concepts were carried out. From the results a transparent CO2 calculation tool was developed as a planning and evaluation tool in the sense of sustainable building. Further on recommendations for a text for publication were prepared.
