Publication (in German): The BBSR offers every year a compact overview of the development of the construction industry. For the first time since 2013, construction volume fell by 2% in real terms last year.

Publication (in German): State-wide and regional spatial structure plans are regularly updated. The Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR) monitors this development via its Regional Spatial Structure Plan Monitor (ROPLAMO).

This is due to one extensive corporate takeover in the fall of 2021. By contrast, the number of sales transactions has remained on the same level as in the previous years.

Publication (in German): The lignite mining regions in Germany are in an early phase of their transformation towards a sustainable energy supply. One and a half year after the Strucutral Strengthening Act came into force, the first government measures in the lignite phase-out regions will be reflected.

Publication (in German): Construction volume in Germany recovered last year's losses due to the Corona crisis - In particular the finish trades enjoyed tremendous growth rates over the previous years. Positive growth is furthermore estimated for all construction sectors in 2022.
