Successful approaches of cooperation and communication supporting climate adaptation in urban planning processes

Results

The web-based "Toolbox Climate adaptation in urban development" encourages municipal urban planning departments to take into account climate adaptation issues and to implement measures in the planning procedures. It is explicitly designed for employees of planning departments of all cities that want to become (more) active and efficient in climate adaptation.

The toolbox contains six "boxes" concerning climate adaptation: risk assessment, planning instruments, structures and processes, measures and projects, participation and communication. Each box is a collection of sheets, that provide a short introduction, benefits, best practice and links about measures that can help improving climate adaptation in the city.
