Project briefing

  • Status Completed
  • Project duration August 2017 – November 2019
  • Programme Future Building

The Assessment System for Sustainable Building for Federal Buildings (BNB) is a holistic assessment procedure for office and administrative buildings. The aim of the project was to update, further develop and supplement the information brochure "Assessment System for Sustainable Building - Office and Administration Buildings" from 2011.

Background

The Assessment System for Sustainable Building for Federal Buildings (BNB) provides a comprehensive quantitative assessment procedure for construction projects. In order to meet the future requirements for holistically optimised buildings, the BNB has been consolidated in recent years and will continue to be developed further in the future.

Objective

The aim of this project was to update, extend and supplement the existing information brochure "Assessment System for Sustainable Building - Office and Administration Buildings" from 2011 in German and English to the currently valid BNB version. Special attention was paid to good readability by means of an appropriate graphic presentation of correlations and clear, well-structured chapters.

The target groups are both future system users and the interested expert audience: The brochure is an introductory foundational work and study tool not only for all federal building ad-ministrations, but also for all motivated actors in the federal states, research institutions or the private industry.

Contractor of the research project was Intep – Integrale Planung GmbH, Berlin.
