Two and a half years ago, the Territorial Agenda 2030 (TA2030) was adopted – it is now time for a first stocktaking of implementation results. On this occasion, the German Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building (BMWSB) in cooperation with the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR) is pleased to invite you to the online conference “Putting the Territorial Agenda 2030 into Practice – Pilot Action Results, Stocktaking and Outlook on further Implementation”

The conference will focus on the results of the pilot action “A future for lagging regions: Fostering the implementation of spatial strategies”, led by Germany. The six partner regions in Germany, France, Portugal and Austria developed innovative spatial planning solutions that improve the liveability of rural regions – for example in the areas of mobility, digitization and health.

The conference will also provide a review on the implementation of the TA2030 so far. Other European pilot actions will present their results from national, regional, and local perspectives. The ministers responsible for spatial planning in the EU member states adopted the Territorial Agenda 2030 on December 1, 2020 at an informal meeting during the German EU Council Presidency. Under the heading “A future for all places”, the document formulates guidelines for a spatial planning policy in the EU, which is based on a just and green development of the regions in Europe.

What is next? A final panel debate will also reflect lessons learned and benefits from the implementation of pilot actions and discuss next steps of the Territorial Agenda 2030.

The event will take place on June 6, 2023 from 10h00 to 15h00 (CET). Further information on the program and registration is available on this page.
